Julia Edge

Co Founder & Managing Director

Julia is the Managing Director at IStructEng, she handles the project delivery of the team, work sourcing, finances and accountability of all business aspects. She has over 15 years of experience in engineering with specialized experience in bridge design, prestressing, commercial, industrial structures and Silo design.

Julia has held numerous titles such as a technical specialist, design engineer, structural design lead, structural team leader and engineering and project manager with duties ranging from resource and personnel management, quality control and assurance, supervision and training, programming and scheduling of project activities, work sourcing and profit accountability lead.

Her passion lies in industrial structures, specifically in the mining sector where large silos and bridges need to be designed and or monitored. She is a Professional Engineer and a COTO certified Bridge Inspector.

Nicholas Poxon

Co Founder and Technical Director

Nicholas is the Technical Director at IStructEng. He is a passionate structural engineer with over 15 years of experience working in multiple sectors including industrial, mining, commercial and residential. He has experience with structural steelwork, reinforced concrete, and masonry structures that have included heavy steel mining workshops and processing plants, industrial warehousing, multistorey reinforced concrete commercial buildings and masonry structures, mining infrastructure and various other buildings and structures. He is highly technical in the field of structural engineering with a broad range of expertise in the analysis and design of structures, including seismic and dynamic analysis.

Nicholas has vast experience in the industry and has worked on and managed the structural aspects on a wide range of projects. His roles have included being a construction site engineer, design engineer, structural design lead, structural team leader and project manager with duties ranging from resource and personnel management, quality control and assurance, supervision and training, programming and scheduling of project activities. He has worked with multi-disciplinary teams in various environments and has also managed projects through all stages of the project life cycle.
